The Opus was introduced in 1995, the world premiere of the first serially produced skeletonized chronograph wristwatch with automatic movement. This exceptionally complex masterpiece of precision watchmaking consisting of over 300 parts visible through the skeletonized dial. It enables timing from mere fractions of a second through to twelve hours and indicates the date. Chronoswiss is a Swiss watch manufacturer based in Lucerne. The company was founded by Gerd R. Lang in 1983 with the mission to make the most extraordinary mechanical timepieces. Prior to founding Chronoswiss, Lang had gained significant experience in manufacturing movements for other major brands, notably TAG Heuer.
