The regal and timeless elegance of their jewelry designs have captivate the hearts and imaginations of collectors for centuries. Less well known today, however, is Chaumet’s mark on the history of horology. Not only did Chaumet start producing timepieces as early as during the 19th century, but the Chaumet family was also instrumental to reviving Breguet and re-positioning it as a luxury watchmaker. Introduced in 1992 and powered by the automatic ETA cal. 2892-2, the Reference A10 Jump Hour encapsulates Chaumet’s aesthetical and technical prowess. During this period Chaumet commissioned none other than François-Paul Journe to produce complicated timepieces for the House, and the Jump Hour was one of the pieces where he had a hand in creating. The present example’s clean lines and avant-garde design is punctuated by the rare bracelet it is accompanied with.
