Very good, capable of running, cleaning needed. Case no. 2052 Diam. 56 mm Circa 1895 Ctry. Switzerland Wt. 156 g Original box The condition of the case and the dial is excellent and the quality of the movement is outstanding. The two barrels are wound through a racking bar. For the minute repeater and the quarter hour strike 'Grande Sonnerie' the three hammers strike on three different gongs, a so-called carillon chime. Another special feature of this movement design is that the three hammers are arranged one above the other, rather than side by side. The carillon chime is a rare and very sophisticated construction designed according to a patent by César Racine - he specialised in this kind of complication and received a Médaille d'Or during the Exposition Nationale Suisse in 1896 and was awarded with the 'Grand Prix Paris 1900', together with other watchmakers from Le Locle.
