This high-performance EDIFICE motorsport chronograph commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the racing team. This collaboration pays tribute to the special KP47 Starlet that made TOM’S Racing an overnight sensation, with an impressive winning streak in small touring car races in the 1970s: 22 first places, 20 wins and 3 consecutive championships. White, red and green are used on the dial and the rest of the watch, the colours that symbolise the fearless image of the racing car. The honeycomb dial evokes the front grille of the TOM’S Starlet in a purple hue that pays homage to the vehicle’s engine cover, with inner dials inspired by the TOM’S Igeta wheels and a TOM’S logo. The genuine leather strap evokes the B-pillar of the KP47 and features a metal strap loop styled similarly to the car’s wing mirrors. The strap loop, also in the KP47 Starlet’s colourway, features the inscription of the first TOM’S logo, adding a nostalgic touch of the early days. The green edge of the strap recalls the green line of the KP47 and the number 36 of the TOM’S star car is printed in glass at the 36-minute mark. This watch is based on the solar-powered EFS-S641 SOSPENSIONE chronograph and features a carbon-fibre-reinforced resin case, solar charging and sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.
