The Cartier Ballon Bleu is a rare watch in Cartier's collection - unlike the Tank, Crash, Asymetrique, Cloche and Santos, it's got a relatively conventional round shape. This doesn't mean it's anything ordinary, though - this is a Cartier, after all. It has a slightly curved crystal that flows into the domed bezel and case. The Roman numerals and sword hands are also classically Cartier, but the crown is protected by an elegantly designed guard that could only come from Cartier. In the hand, it feels like a perfectly polished and rounded pebble, while on the wrist it is exceptionally comfortable.
