Cartier started producing watches with fully in-house movements around 2010, with the launch of the 1904 MC caliber, the first automatic movement made by the French Maison. The collection was destined to house Cartier's more masculine and sporty offerings, featuring a robust case shape and a sportier, more function-forward dial design. At the same time, there's something distinctively Cartier about this watch, from the classic Roman numeral hour markers to the sword-shaped hands and faceted crown decorated with a blue cabochon.
