Lady’s Art Deco tonneau-shaped; yellow gold (18-carat), platinum, diamonds and pearls –– Yellow gold (18-carat) and platinum, manual-winding, vertical tonneau-shaped, Art Deco lady’s wristwatch, with diamond-set bezel and lugs, and pearls bracelet. –– Case: two-piece, polished, bezel set with 34 old-cut diamonds, lugs set with 12 old-cut diamonds, case-back secured by four screws on the sides; crown set with one old-cut diamond; bracelet made up of several rows of pearls – two rows of large pearls and three rows of small pearls – strung on thread; clasp set with 16 old-cut diamonds. Dial: silver colour, with black painted radiating Roman numerals; blued steel “Breguet” hands. Movement: calibre 9’’’, manual-winding, 19 jewels, rhodium-plated with “fausses côtes” decoration, going barrel, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws, blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index-regulator, 8 adjustments. –– Bracelet with deployant clasp based on the French invention patent No. 409 891, delivered on 2 December 1909, to Edmond Jaeger (1858–1922), Paris (France), for a “Genre de fermeture pour bracelets, porte-montres ou autres” (type of fastening for bracelets, watch-straps, or similar items), and British invention patent No. 27 974, delivered on 1st December 1910, to the same, for a “Improvements in Bracelets, Necklaces, Armlets and the like.”
