A vintage Cartier Tank reference 15705 gold-plated G20M, crafted during the 1970s and was sold at the Cartier boutique in New York in the early 1970s. The rectangular case measures 23 mm across and 6.5 mm thick housing a blue cabochon beaded crown and a hand wound movement. Case back inscribed “Cartier Plaqué OR G20M Swiss” and is secured by four screws. Features a wonderfully aged dial evolved into an eggshell-colored with crazing, the standard black Roman numeral indices and blue-sword shaped hands. Fitted with a black lizard strap, serving well for most occasions. Hairlines scratches consistent with age. 6.5 mm thick case. Cartier cal. 2512 78/1, 17 jewels hand winding movement. Case# 15705 #407987 Sapphire crystal. New non-Cartier black lizard strap. 17 mm lug width. Modeled on 6 inch wrist.
