This very elegant watch is one of the most valuable examples of the famous Cartier Tank ever produced. The case and dial are set with 36 diamonds totaling ca. 9 ct. Produced in extremely small numbers, this timepiece is one of the very first to be brought back onto the market and can be considered the ultimate version of the Tank. The same model, but the dial set with sapphires, was sold at an auction in New York this year, from the collection of Sir Elton John, for over 176,000 US dollars.
