Introduced in 2016, the Drive de Cartier is a softer take on some of the luxury brand’s square-shaped horological icons such as the Tank and the Santos. Housed within the rounded, 41mm rose gold case is a silver signature Cartier guilloché dial complete with a date aperture at three o’clock, a seconds counter at six o’clock, and the brand’s trademark blue stainless steel hands. The Drive de Cartier was launched as a reminder of Cartier’s status in the world of high-end watchmaking. The house’s importance is emphasised through the open caseback, which displays the reference’s 1904-PS-MC calibre; an automatic movement with a power reserve of 47 hours. The watch is paired to a brown alligator strap, matched with a rose gold Cartier deployment buckle.
