It was launched in two versions: the must de Cartier in gold plating "vermeil" and the slightly harder to find version « Louis Cartier » or LC in 18k gold This example offered is of the latter. A 30mm, 18k gold case housing a quartz movement with distinct horizontal lugs to which the bracelet is attached. Louis Cartier patented this new "attache" in the 1930s. The design was later popularized by « La Collection », a watch from VCA, and then revitalised at scale by Cartier in the 70s. The design draws inspiration from the shape of the two streets, Rue de la Paix and Rue de Castiglione, which lead to Place Vendôme from above and below the square.
