As for the condition, it is beautiful per the photographs and will bring a smile to your face when you fasten it to your wrist. Mechanically, all functions are working perfectly, the timekeeping is excellent. The strap shows very little wear at all, this is a gorgeous example. There are some gentle signs of wear but they’re only mentioned for complete transparency.

The Cartier Tank revolutionised watchmaking upon its release in 1917 and it has been so successful that the rectangular shape is now synonymous with the Maison Cartier.
The Tank Solo is a modernist's dream, it was introduced as an especially faithful re-creation of the original. These timepieces have retained the key elements which made the Tank Louis such a success: a rectangular case with elongated left and right sides that transition seamlessly into the lugs, a beaded crown with a blue cabochon, and a unique dial which of course features black Roman Numerals on a white background, as well as a central railroad minute track or ‘chemin de fer’. This is all affixed to the wrist with a leather strap, just as the Tank Louis was intended!
This reference 3169 has a classic and timeless design, with a clean, simple and refined aesthetic. The case measures 27 x 35mm and is considered a ‘large’ model, the profile of the watch is slim as it is a dress watch that’s designed to slip under a shirt cuff. Powering this piece is a Swiss made, high precision Cartier quartz movement which has just been routinely serviced and will run for years without a second thought. The dial itself is archetypal Cartier, featuring the Roman Numeral hour markers, a railroad track and finally a secret signature at 7 O’Clock. The absence of a date aperture works brilliantly here, as it adds a layer of symmetry that is ever so pleasing on the eye. Fastening the piece to the wrist is a supremely comfortable Cartier leather strap, all secured with a hidden butterfly style clasp. Of course this piece has a sapphire crystal glass for added peace of mind.
