Santos 100 Large mens stainless with leather strap with butterfly clasp. In 1904 the Santos was originally produced and named after a Brazilian aviator named Alberto Santos-Dumont. His wish to Cartier was a timepiece that could be worn on the wrist while flying in lieu of checking his pocket watch. The Santos was set into production in 1911 and to this day has remained part of the Cartier catalog. Iconic square case dimensions are 51.1mm x 41.3mm x 10.34mm thick. Polished bezel with exposed screws and large blue spinal crystal cabochon on the crown. Silver dial with roman numeral dial markers, with luminous hands.
