The collection was made as a celebration of Cartier's 20th century designs. Cartier delved into its back catalogue of designs to recreate iconic pieces and adding modern touches. Each was made in limited numbers and all came in precious metals. These cases all housed highly decorated manual wind movements that can be viewed via the display case backs. The high quality craftsmanship carries through to the hand decorated dial. The centre of the dial is decorated with a rose motif, which radiates into the guilloche design. Lastly, these watches are accompanied by larger boxes than usual, highlighting the importance of these impressive timepieces.
