Description

Cartier Panthère 1120

The Panthère de Cartier collection was launched in 1983 and was created in honour of the brand's long running panther motif, most frequently seen in its jewellery designs. With it's modernist square case combining with classic Cartier's classic design cues, the Panthère was an instant hit and was adopted by famous figures of the time such as Tina Turner and also appeared in the 1987 Oliver Stone film Wall Street. Cartier discontinued the Panthère series in 2004 which further increased the demand for the model and contributed to the early rise in popularity of pre-owned luxury watches.
