The initial releases from Bulgari focused on the use of titanium and a monochromatic look, which was then followed with offerings in blasted steel, ceramic and gold. All of these featured push-down crowns and 30m of water resistance, which limited their appeal to those wishing to subject it to water, and so in 2020 Bulgari released the Octo Finissimo series in a very slightly thicker polished and satin steel case with screw down crown, imbuing it with 100m of water resistance. It’s been offered in a number of dial configurations up to this point, and this is version has been a favourite amongst collectors since inception. The brushed and polished case remains an astonishingly thin 6.4mm while measuring 40mm across, and within it is housed a blue lacquered sunburst dial which looks amazing against the steel case. It's quite changeable, looking vibrant under the sun, and reasonably muted out of direct sunlight which adds a layer of versatility. It’s powered by the BVL 138 calibre with platinum micro-rotor still measures in at a scant 2.23mm thick and 60 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Along with this ridiculously thin case, the integrated steel bracelet is a wonder in itself. Again, super thin, perfectly formed links taper to a double-fold clasp with its own little party trick. The folding mechanism is partially recessed into the clasp and links, helping it to be ultra-comfortable, and ultra-thin. This particular piece was purchased in locally in May 2022 and presents in TZ 'Near Mint' condition. The case shows only the lightest signs of any use with some minor swirls/hairlines on the polished surfaces. Please see images for full condition details. Bracelet includes all links, and shows only minor desk dive marks. All functions operating as they should, and remains under manufacturers warranty until 2027.
