This way, you will be able to enjoy your watch on a daily basis and if someone compliments you, you will not need to launch into a 20 minute explanation of micro brands, or how your watch is really a good “value”, etc. None of that nonsense. People in the know will immediately recognize your Breitling. It has one of the strongest brand values and legacies in the watch industry. Regarding servicing, you will end up paying much more in direct costs and time off wrist to get the movement serviced down the line if you do not purchase something that has recently been serviced. With that as context, I am offering up for sale my FULLY SERVICED Breitling Wings, from the Windrider collection. What does fully serviced mean? This timepiece was sent to a well known professional watch repair shop where it was completely disassembled and cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. It was then reassembled and properly oiled and then timed on an electronic timing machine. This is a Chronometer grade movement. All functions work as intended, and this watch will serve you well for many years. Light marks from usage but a very clean example overall. Note the lume functionality - on the dial markers and hands AND the bezel pip (which is rare for these series to still have that working). To quote a writeup from Hodinkee on this reference: “Apart from their legacy with the Navitimer, modern Breitling is known for its baroque and specific styling, including a love of polished finishes, and rotating bezels with the brand’s unique Rider tabs. If you’ve always enjoyed the specific appeal of the brand’s ‘80s designs but don’t have the wrist for a full-sized Chronomat, don’t sleep on the Windrider Wings. Almost like an Aerospace without the analog-digital displays, the Windrider Wings offers 100 meters of water resistance and a sapphire crystal. Beneath that black dial ticks a Breitling B10 automatic movement, which is based on the ETA 2892-A2 and also offers a handy date display at three. Made all the more appealing thanks to its classic sizing, the B10350 Windrider Wings packs a whole lot of bonafide Breitling into a very wearable package.”. I couldn’t agree more, and would only add that this piece borrows from the prior Breitling design language which in my learned opinion offers lots of easter eggs in the styling: the unidirectional, rotating bezel, the older applied Breitling logo on the dial, the easily identifiable crown, the Breitling logo counterweight on the seconds hand, etc. This watch will come as shown, mounted on a brown Fluco Dublin Horween leather strap. This strap series from Fluco is one of my favorites and over the years I have purchased many of these in various color ways. I have tried many other high end strap brands, but keep coming back to Fluco time and again. They are handmade in Germany to a very high standard, and age very well. Perfect thickness and a great pairing with this timepiece. This particular strap was purchased only a few weeks ago and barely worn. I have sold several of my personal watches on this platform, including other Breitlings and prior buyers have been very satisfied. The sale includes what is shown: (i) Breitling watch mounted on (ii) Fluco strap with (iii) original Breitling instruction manual for this model. With the current Breitling lineup continuing to stray from their core principles, and the MSRPs continuing to rise to unreasonable heights, why not make the smart play and pick up a piece that is getting harder to find from US based sellers, and will only become more collectible over time? Please feel free to reach out with interest or to ask any questions you may have.
