For sale is a Breitling Cockpit B50, reference EB5010, manufactured in 2016, and I am its second owner. I bought this watch from a retired FedEx cargo pilot this past December, a man who flew for FedEx for decades, having piloted the Boeing 777, Boeing 727, and McDonnell Douglas DC-10.
This model was released by Breitling in response to a Federal Aviation Administration ruling that pilots would need to start keeping track of their own hours. With that in mind, this watch really two modes, one intended for pilots, and one intended for the common man like myself. It’s such a cool watch that is truly a conversation piece, and I’m only selling it because I don’t give it the wrist time it deserves.
By his own description, he told me this watch had flown around the world with him more times than he could count, over the North Pole numerous times, and over the South Pole TWICE (from Auckland, New Zealand to Cape Town, South Africa).
It is a rechargeable watch and the original owner had the battery replaced with a new unit around the beginning of 2023. I can confirm it holds a charge VERY well.
There are no scratches on the bezel or crystal and it is in truly fantastic shape. This also includes two USB charging cables, and these cables are not cheap, so you’ll like the benefit of being able to either keep the extra cable in your travel bag or just have an emergency backup cable.
I am willing to ship internationally— it would be an utter shame to not let anyone who would love to own a watch that has seen more of the world than 99% of the population not own it because they don’t live here in the U.S. I trust whoever buys this will re-tell the amazing stories I have relayed to you above from its original owner. Wear this watch and wear it proudly.
International orders will be shipped by either FedEx or UPS, and U.S. orders via USPS.
