Original chronometer tag signed: Breguet No. 886. The brass parts in part with the original protective lacquer still on. Hinged upper cover with brass corners, original key. Cardanic suspension in brass. Silver-plated, engraved dial, signed: "Breguet No. 886, Depot De La Marine". Retrograde power reserve at 12h, small second at 6h. Fine, like new, 2-day chronometer movement with fusee and chain No. 886 / 455. Spring chronometer escapement type: Earnshaw with diamond cap stone. With original Breguet winding key. Case, movement, dial signed and numbered. D 16 x 16 x 17 cm. With Certificate by Breguet: This chronometer was sold to the French Navy in 1862 for 2,000 francs.
