With its highly unique design that puts all of the watch's high-end watchmaking elements openly on display, it's a watch that inspires awe in all those that view it. The brand's founder, Abraham-Louis Breguet, was of course the greatest watchmaker to have ever lived, and though he passed away over 200 years ago the brand is still at the forefront of high-end horology, and this timepiece is a perfect example of this fact. Features include solid 18k rose gold case with fluted sides, hand-finished guilloche dial, open-worked movement visible from the front and sapphire display back, heat blued hands and retro-grade date display with quick-set pusher. The watch is fitted on a Breguet brown leather strap with matching 18k rose gold ardillon buckle. Powering the watch is Breguet automatic calibre 505Q that measures in at just 8.7mm thick and features bi-directional automatic winding, 50 hour power reserve and Breguet spiral silicon hairspring. The movement is just as as beautiful as it is functional, with a range of different finishes on the movement plates and components. Amongst a staggering amount of other innovations, Breguet was also the man to have invented the first functional and reliable automatic (pocket) watch, and this watch features a beautiful design touch that reminds one of this achievement. On the back of the movement we see its solid 18k white gold rotor shaped in the form of a pendulum, just as it was in the very first working example he produced all the way back in 1780.
