A RARE EXHIBITION BACK POCKET WATCH BY BOVET
the circular white enamel unsigned dial with black Roman indices and blued steel hands, plain case with a hinged rear cover which opens to reveal a decorated movement with a right-angled escapement and blued steel compensation balance, case internally marked with Chinese characters (which suggest import marks for the Chinese market) and the makers mark B & Co, estimated date of manufacture circa 1850.
Watch is currently functioning but timekeeping not tested, keys included.
