Bovet Fleurier Pocket watch for the Chinese market, circa 1860 Gilt metal with a white enamel dial indicating the hours with Roman numerals, the minutes with sticks, and blued steel hands. The case and bail are accented on each side with a row of half-pearls. The reverse features a painted enamel decoration of a bouquet of flowers composed of peonies, tulips, and daisies. The polished steel movement, protected by a glass bowl, is signed "Bovet-Fleurier." Numbered "1891." With a square key monogrammed "W.M." Diameter: 64 mm. (damage to the enamel)
