This Blancpain Villeret is a spectacular model with a minute repeater. The minute repeater is very sophisticated and sounds incredible. These are some of the highest quality chiming watches of the era. This Blancpain minute repeater features a case made by the late Jean-Pierre Hagmann, a master case maker who also crafted the cases for Patek Philippe’s minute repeaters. According to Blancpain, developing the caliber 33 for its fourth masterpiece took more than 10,000 hours. Introduced in 1988, it was one of the smallest minute repeaters yet, measuring just 3.3mm thick. The case appears to be unpolished. It measures 34mm in diameter and 37mm lug to lug. It is paired on an extremely nice bracelet made by Gay Freres that can fit a wrist approximately 7 inches in circumference. The watch dates to the 1990s. It does not come with papers. It does come with a box. We do not know the service history and is running well.
