Really funky 70s case design. The watch is powered by the famous swiss tuning fork ESA movement which hums and the seconds hand glides effortlessly without any tick or tock. The watch also features a date window at 3 o'clock. These watches are still not on many collectors radar but they are becoming harder to find in original unmolested condition. This piece has its signed movement and has never been restored or polished. This technology was so amazing at the time and even more accurate than chronometer certified watches. They would have developed and advanced further, had it not been for the quartz crisis and the introduction of cheap affordable quartz watches from japan in the 1970s. CASE DIMENSIONS: the case measures 37mm across without crown BRACELET/WRIST SIZE: Fitted to a brand new aftermarket leather strap from italian strap designer Morellato. CONDITION REPORT: Great original condition with some signs of use.
