The Royal Oak is considered to be the most popular watch that Audemars Piguet currently manufactures. It was first introduced at the 1972 Baselworld. Designed by Gerald Genta, who is also responsible for designing other iconic timepieces, it is considered to be the first luxury sports watch. The watch was inspired by the portholes found on boats and features exposed screw heads as well as unique case design and an integrated link bracelet.
Well regarded and coveted around the globe for its assured and confident aesthetic the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak combines bold design choices with exquisite craftsmanship.
This timepiece is crafted in a robust 39mm stainless steel case and the iconic Genta octagonal "porthole" bezel with 8 screws, showcases a black dial with the iconic “Grande Tapisserie” pattern, date window and triple sub-dials at 3/6/9 for the chronograph functions. Powered by the in-house automatic calibre 2385 movement and presented on the iconic integrated stainless steel link bracelet with classic folding clasp.
The watch was originally purchased in August 2008 and comes supplied in Mint condition, with the original inner box and warranty booklet. This watch is sold with our 12-month SWC warranty.
