Description
Description Designed by Gerald Genta in 1972, the Royal Oak is a classic for watch collectors. Inspired by diver’s helmets – it was designed by the great Gerald Genta, also the designer of the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The model we’re offering today is an early version of the 5402 also known as an A series watch due to the A inscription engraved onto the case-back of the first 2000 numbered watches. The watch comes with the original dial with the AP logo at 6 o’clock and “Swiss” signature. The bracelet is tight, and the clasp and buckle are original to the watch as well as the winding crown. Watch condition Watch is in very nice overall condition, the case is very healthy in its proportions and the dial shows some signs of aging through patina that is quite homogeneous throughout the dial. Dial, Crown, Date Wheel, Bracelet and Clasp all period correct. Movement replaced during service. Frequency 240Hz.
