6635 Royal Oak Extra-Thin 15202ST.OO.1240ST.01 2018 Box and Papers This Royal Oak Jumbo 15202 in stainless steel is a continuation of Audemars Piguet's most famous model line. While the original Jumbo dates back to 1972, this example comes from 2018 with box and papers and is in excellent condition, with some very light signs of wear on the bracelet near the clasp and a small scuff on the 9 o'clock side of the bezel. The "petit tapisserie" dial is created using a traditional guilloche machine then coated in a rich blue colour. The guilloche, along with the galvanic blue treatment, creates for a stunning light show when the sun hits the dial.\n\nThe back of this watch is just as much of a highlight as the dial. The movement is based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre cal. 920, but decorated to a much higher standard. Unlike the originals, the 15202 has an open caseback which shows off the movement. The most important part of the Royal Oak, however, has to be the case and bracelet. Designed from scratch and looking entirely unique, it was inspired by brutalist architecture that became popular in the 1970s.
