The classic architecture of the tourbillon cage features bridges at the front, but today, the latest evolution is revealed with an automatic flying tourbillon movement. The remarkable cal. 2950 is the first to combine a self-winding mechanism with a flying architecture, a complication previously seen in the Royal Oak Concept line. Audemars Piguet has truly integrated this "concept" into the Royal Oak collection. One cannot help but be mesmerized by the striking emerald green dial, which is exceptionally eye-catching. It showcases the iconic and innovative “Evolutive Tapisserie” pattern, introduced on the hand-wound tourbillon models in 2018, with a focal point radiating from the center of the tourbillon. Adding to its allure, the light and robust titanium case exudes a captivating dark hue, enhancing the dial's visual impact. A noteworthy detail is the signature on the dial. This 24k gold applied logo is achieved through a chemical process similar to 3D printing, known as galvanic growth, where each letter is connected by thin links that are nearly invisible to the naked eye. Undoubtedly a remarkable piece of craftsmanship, this watch is further complete with its box and papers and limited to just 50 pieces. We are extremely proud to present this reference at auction for the first time.
