Rare Vintage Asprey London 9K Gold Watch For Fairey Aviation Co. Circa 1957

Incredibly special & historic wristwatch by Asprey London with some amazing provenance! Given to one ‘F.B. Burnell’ in 1957 for 29 years of service dating all the way back to 1928. This would mean that Mr. Burnell worked for the Fairey Aviation Company right through the Second World War while the company supplied aircraft to the military RAF(Royal Air Force). If only it could talk I’m sure it would have some amazing stories to tell. Thankfully it retains its original box making mention of the late Queen Elizabeth II only a few years into her position as well as featuring the Fairey Aviation logo on top. The watch itself, wholly made in England, features a solid 9K gold case and a manually wound 17 jewel movement by Smiths. The box reads: “By appointment silversmiths and jewelers to Her Majesty The Queen Asprey & Co Ltd. New Bond Street London”
