Up for grabs is a beautiful and rare Arnold & Son HMS1 in stainless steel with a stunning anthracite dial, one of a limited run of 250 pieces in this configuration. The case is 40mm wide and just 7.68mm thick, elegantly styled with downward arcing lugs and an inward angled case side which gives it a delicate and refined appearance. Housed inside the case is the A&S1001 caliber, a hand-finished manually-wound movement that is just 2.7 mm thick. Despite the incredibly thin profile, the movement provides 90 hours of power reserve courtesy of two mainspring barrels. The finishing on the movement is exquisite, and per Watchbase features "nickel-silver...NAC grey treated with Haute Horlogerie finishing: manually chamfered bridges with polished edges, fine circular graining and 'Côtes de Genève', mirror-polished screws." The dial itself is also finely detailed with mirror polished indices and faceted hands which sparkle under light.
The watch is in near-mint condition, with only some very light handling marks, and otherwise some few pieces of lint/smudges I noticed after I took pictures. The sapphire crystals on both sides are in perfect condition. This sale is for the watch only, no box or papers, which is currently on a high quality aftermarket genuine ostrich leather strap in excellent condition. Also included is the calf-leather alligator stamped strap that the watch came on when I bought it, in used condition, though I believe it is not the original, it does have the original stainless steel Arnold & Son buckle which is itself in mint condition. The movement is running great, within COSC on the wrist.
For the price you'd be hard pressed to find a comparable dress watch that combines such a thin profile with a technically impressive in-house, hand-finished movement.
Please note that I am not a professional dealer or reseller, I simply sell watches from my personal collection, and as such I make no warranties or guarantees, and offer no returns/refunds unless the watch has been grossly misrepresented.
Also note that I am a USA based seller, so no tariffs in the US, and otherwise any import duties are based on your country of residence and local laws, which you are responsible for.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my listing :)
