1960s Airstar Chronograph
Rif: MIC00034 1960s Aquastar Airstar, fine and rare, water resistant, stainless steel chronograph.
Three body case, lapidated lugs, bi-directional revolving graduated bezel for the decompression times, screwed-down case back. Black dial with applied luminous baton indexes, outermost white tachometer scale, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30 minutes and 12-hour registers. Luminous steel baton hands. Powered by a manual winding movement Valjoux 72, rhodium plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring.

Made in a very small series (scholars believe in the 200-300 pieces) the Airstar was probably produced to be commercialized under another name but never made it to regular production, making this Valjoux 72 equipped diving chronograph a must-have.
