Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1780., 18-carat gold and enamel watch. Double body case, the bezel and the edge of the back with chiselled foliage garlands, the engine turned back centered with an enamel painted goat ( symbol of the CAPRICORNE Zodiac sign, further ' paillonné' enamelled decoration (slightly restored). White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold 'poker' hand. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, continental type cock and polished steel endpiece. In good condition.
