CA 1890 SI PAPPE BIRMINGHAM STERLING SILVER POCKET WATCH WITH SILVER DOUBLE ALBERT CHAIN & FOB

Antique SI Pappe Birmingham Sterling Silver Pocket Watch with Silver Double Albert Chain & Fob. The watch has a fusee (chain driven) movement which is ticking away nicely. The movement is signed S I Pappe, Birmingham… Samuel Isaac Pappe was a watchmaker and retail jeweler who traded from 137 Ladywood Road, Birmingham. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover and a winding key is included. The watch itself measures 55mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1890, with a maker’s mark for the London based watch case maker James Oliver. The white enamel dial is signed S I Pappe, Birmingham. Case and movement serial numbers are matching 91159. This watch includes key. The double Albert chain and fob are all marked "WWC" with hallmarks throughout each piece. The fob is engraved with the letters "LM". The inside back cover of the watch is engraved but not fully legible. Approx.
