SWISS WORK Early 19th century Gold pocket watch with passage and on-demand striking system Case: round on hinges, guilloché, the back decorated with a concentric pattern and a monogram cartouche, gilded metal bowl, Breguet-style hands with apocryphal Breguet & Fils signature Dial: white enamel with painted Arabic numerals, minute track, apocryphal Breguet & Fils signature. Movement: mechanical with key winding, cylinder escapement with spiral balance, paré-chute system, equipped with a striking mechanism (petite et grande sonnerie / sonnerie et silence) operated by two winding squares visible on the reverse, settings indicated 'Avance / Retard', complex movement with gong and hammer, typical of early 19th century Swiss quality watches.
