Description

A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia 18K White Gold Box Papers Ref. 105.027

Of the four watches that A. Lange & Söhne introduced in 1994 in Dresden, marking a new era of German haute horlogerie, the Saxonia is the most understated – and at the same time the boldest. This rare variant in 18-carat white gold with a blue dial, reference 105.027, was produced only from 1997 to 2002 and is considered by connoisseurs to be one of the most unusual configurations in the early history of Lange. The 33.9 mm case houses the in-house manual winding caliber L941.3, whose hand-engraved balance cock is visible through the sapphire crystal case back. The satin-brushed blue dial with rhombus-shaped white gold indices and Lange's characteristic big date exudes a quiet intensity.
