Description

A. Lange & Söhne Early Lange 1 Full Set 18K BJ 1995 Ref. 101.001

The Lange 1 from A. Lange & Söhne is the result of a bold new beginning: the extraordinary combination of tradition and innovation makes it the epitome of Lange's watchmaking art. No other watch model has been awarded as often as the Lange 1, produced since 1994. This early model of reference 110.001 with the solid case back was produced only a few times (some sources mention 135 pieces between 1994 and 1997) and differs from the sister model 110.002 only by the golden hands and the also golden numerals. Of course, even back then, the Lange-typical big date and the asymmetrical dial design with the power reserve indicator and the decentralized small second were style-defining features. In 1995, the solid case back was replaced with a sapphire glass back at the request of customers and jewelers. The piece of watchmaking history offered here is unpolished, which gives this timepiece its special charm and tells the story of its life. A professional refurbishment is, of course, possible upon customer request after purchase. Additionally, this rare rarity is delivered in a full set with box and original papers, as well as - and this is a special highlight - with the original purchase invoice of 27,000 DM from jeweler Wempe. Furthermore, this beautiful timepiece underwent a full revision in 2013. There is also a receipt for this amounting to 1,700 EUR. Highlights at a glance: - Case made of 18-carat yellow gold - Dial made of solid silver - Reference 101.001 - Diameter 38.5 mm - Year of manufacture 1995 - Delivery in full set including original purchase invoice - Papers from jeweler Wempe in Cologne
