Lange & Söhne Datograph was launched at the Basel Fair in 1999. It was the first chronograph offered by the brand since its revival in 1994 and is still considered a revolutionary icon today. Contrary to the spirit of the times, Lange decided to invest five years and a significant amount of money in developing its own flyback chronograph movement, the calibre L951. Legendary watchmaker Philippe Dufour, himself a proud Datograph owner, once described it as the watch with the best chronograph movement ever made. But it's not just about the technical aspects; the beautifully designed and decorated movement is simply fascinating. The present watch is a rare model in rose gold. From an important European private collection.
