With this masterpiece, Lange opened a new chapter in the over 200-year history of the tourbillon by introducing, for the first time, a patented stop-seconds mechanism. This innovation allows the tourbillon to be halted when the crown is pulled out, enabling precise time-setting. The captivating rotation of the tourbillon is visible through an aperture in the dial, offering a constant reminder of the watch's mechanical virtuosity. In keeping with Lange’s time-honoured traditions, the bearing of the filigreed tourbillon carriage is set with two diamond endstones.
