Rolex Zenith Daytona White Dial Reference 16520 White Dial Unpolished
This is an outstanding example of a Rolex Daytona reference 16520 with a white dial. It has a U92 serial dating it to circa late 1997. The “Zenith Daytonas” have appreciated significantly the last few years as people respect the modified Zenith El Primero movements that Rolex used for their first automatic Daytonas starting in 1988 until circa 2000. This is example features a crisp unpolished case and unpolished bracelet. It measures 40mm in diameter (46mm lug-to-lug).
This particular example features a ‘Tritinova’ dial. These watches, produced for a few months, have dials stamped 'Tritium' but use Luminova for the hour markers and hands. They were the first to feature this new luminous material on old Tritium-stamped dials, typically found at the end of the U serial range.
This watch does not include a box or papers. We do not know the service history, but it is running well.
