This is a gorgeous vintage Universal Genève White Shadow ref. 866049. This watch, originally designed by Gerald Genta, features an ellipse case with integrated steel mesh bracelet. It houses the UG caliber 2-66, an innovative microrotor movement that was the thinnest automatic movement in the world in its time at only 2.5mm thick. The amazingly thin movement allows this automatic watch to be only around 6mm thick as a whole. This particular example also features the rarer hammered bracelet, where each link seamlessly meshes into the next.
The watch is in good condition for its age. There are scratches throughout the case and some marks on the dial the crystal. The dial also features a beautiful spidering that can only been seen up-close. The watch is keeping time in line with its age, though its service history is unknown.
