This timepiece is a rare and original early 1930s Universal Watch men's chronograph, featuring a larger sized solid gold case with a single pusher and double hinged design. The watch is in excellent condition and fully functional.
The watch is powered by a manufacture-grade manual winding Universal Watch movement, caliber 16 3/4```. This early model, adapted from a pocket watch movement, keeps accurate time and has been fully serviced. It comes with a 6-month guarantee.
The case is made of solid 18kt gold with a double hinged construction, measuring 42mm in diameter (excluding the crown). It's in excellent condition, showing only very light traces of use. The case features the characteristic wire lugs typical of these very early 1930s Universal Watch chronographs.
The dial is the original enamel version with Breguet numerals, in very good condition. It has two light hairlines on the edge and one small restoration at the 4 o'clock position on the edge.
The plexiglass is in perfect condition, and the watch comes fitted with a new, vintage-style wristband.
