The caliber 2403 is a robust winding watch caliber that has been fully serviced to near perfection. The watch maintains a healthy amplitude of over 260 degrees. Additionally, pics from the service or Witschi measurements are available, so please do ask me to send me those - they show the correct amplitude and time keeping in the down position, as being accurately recorded. The watch- Reference 7962 is the precursor to the Tudor Prince Oysterdate, but you will note that the dial is near perfect, pristine, straight graining running top to bottom, Alpha Tritium hands for a 10 3/4 which are Tritium 25> and so is the dial the Tritium is mentioned at the bottom of the dial, T-Swiss-T. The dial has a Tudor small rose emblem, which is 1964-65 approx. era, There were not many of these made, a true Gentleman's winding watch, Rolex quality case made by Rolex for Tudor. As a pairing, I decided to install a Nick Gabarro Tan color hand made calf strap to accompany it, the buckle is a brushed steel buckle. The quality of the hand made strap will speak for itself over time- it becomes more and more attractive as it ages and collects patina. Dimensions: 34 mm overall width, 37 mm with crown measured, 41 mm lug tip to tip, and 9 mm thickness (Lastly that additional 1,5 mm is due to the crystal's cyclops) otherwise, the watch thickness is a mere 8 mm. Service notes: The case is polished keeping in mind shape and brushed finishing on the lugs, polished on the flanks and case back and bezel. The polishing needed to be done, as the case arrived in a not so great condition, post service it looked amazing. A brand new #112 original crystal is installed in this watch, as are the crown and tube, all seals replaced at service time 31st August, 2024 - rendering this watch water resistant to 5 ATM.We are a registered business in B.C. and our B/N details are on the homepage.
