Produced from 1969 onwards, the Date+Day is one of the largest Tudor watches in the Oyster Prince lineup. This astonishing and beautifully preserved example is also known as the “Jumbo” for its 38mm case seize, atypical for its time.
The reference 7017/0 is sheer perfection with the combination of a superb blue dial and smooth bezel that give it a do-it-all aesthetic. The watch exudes a refined air that makes it the perfect choice for dressier occasions while being quite sporty at heart.

DIAL+HANDS: The metallic blue dial with a lovely sunburst finish is in mint condition with intact imprint and no defects or discoloration.
The date window at 3 o’clock and the day of the week at 12 come both with clean discs and a French script for the latter.
The baton hour markers as well as their adjacent luminescent dots are fully intact and have gracefully acquired a subtle hint of patina.
The luminescent baton hands are correct and come in lovely condition with minor signs of age and untouched tritium inlays that match the Tritium dots’ color tone.
CRYSTAL: The acrylic crystal is fairly clean, displaying only some light surface marks. The magnifying Cyclops at 3 o’clock is clear and aligns perfectly with the date window.
CASE: The Jumbo stainless steel Oyster case measures 38mm, crown excluded while the lug-to-lug length is 46mm. It remains strong with sharp lines, thick, even lugs and correct finish, along with faint scratches throughout.
The reference number is still easily legible between the top lugs.
CASE BACK: The case back displays a clearly legible engraved text, that started to partially faint and intact knurling. It shows some nicks and normal scratches throughout. The inner side is clean and bears the period correct stamps.
CROWN: The twinlock Rolex crown screws down tightly, pulls out to the winding, time adjustment and quick setting functions properly.
MOVEMENT: The self-winding A.S. Calibre 1895 bears the Tudor name. has been checked for good timekeeping performance. Is clean and in excellent working order.
BRACELET: The folded-link, Oyster bracelet bears the reference 7836 and 382B endlinks. The clasp is signed and has a K4 date stamp. The bracelet is in overall good condition with minimal scratches and only light stretch. It fits a wrist of approx. 20 cm.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather watch roll.
The dial, case back, crown, clasp and movement are signed Tudor or Rolex. The watch is fully functional and ready to be worn.
