The 7928, like all Tudor Submariners, was developed with the French Navy, the Marine Nationale. It is the epitome of Tudor sports models and enjoyed a long production run from circa 1959 to circa 1968. The Tudor Submariner is a highly sought-after piece for both Tudor and Mil-Sub collectors.
What's on Offer
It doesn't get more collectable when it comes to vintage Tudor than this beauty! The 7928 has become very much sought after and this one is in particularly nice vintage condition. The dial shows a fairly even patina alongside its oversized hor plots which still retain their original lume as do Mercedes hands and it has aged to a stunning pale vanilla colour warming the dial nicely. At 12 o'clock we have the Tudor Rose, and at 6 o'clock we have Rotor and a smiley self-winding - all correct details we expect to see.
The 'ghosted bezel' is still in superb condition, there are some signs of wear but nothing of any concern and for those that appreciate the joy of vintage watch collecting, this is all part of the charm! The watch is paired with the 9315 Z5 oyster bracelet which is also in very good shape.
At 40mm this is a meaty watch on the wrist but it remains relatively light and is certainly comfortable. We absolutely love this piece and will be sad to see it go, it certainly one for the more discerning collector!
