Founded in the Swiss town of Le Locle in 1853 by father and son Charles-Félicien and Charles-Émile Tissot, the eponymous Tissot brand has long been synonymous with well-crafted timepieces and distinct design flair. Notably, Tissot made horological history by introducing the mass-produced Antimagnetique watch in 1930, pioneering basic protection against magnetic fields. This innovation sparked a trend, prompting other companies to develop their own magnetic-resistant timepieces.
