This Tag Heuer CA1212 White Dial version first appeared in the 1998 Formula 1 catalogue alongside various alternative vibrant models, including black, blue, yellow, orange and white, which we have listed with this watch.
The era of these affordable Formula 1 models ended in 2000 when the new LVMH management decided to take the Heuer brand upmarket, concentrating on manufacturing mechanical movements rather than quartz. These watches have become icons of the 90s that inspired a lot of modern-day watch enthusiasts.
These models have been reissued in collaboration with KITH in 2024 reigniting attention for what were already desirable collectibles.
This model is made of stainless steel and has a 38mm case crowned by a black plastic revolving bezel with white numerals and markers. The dial is white with black, grey and red accents on the subdials with Arabic numerals.
Condition:
The pouch and outer box show wear and tear. Zip is hard to close. The outer box has signs of wear on the corners. The dial is in good condition. The bezel, case, and bracelet can be described as good, with some signs of minor wear.
Booklets: The instruction manual and guarantee booklet with international guarantee card stamped December 1998 from a NAAFI store based in Germany. Both booklets and card have signs of wear on the exterior and some signs of wear in the interior with notable marks on cover.
Watch functions: The watch is running its Chronograph, with the Start, Stop, and Reset functions working as they should. The chronograph hand is stopping centred and fully aligned at the 12 mark. The unidirectional bezel turning as it should with nice clicking sound as you rotate.
