We use the manufacturer's waterproofness specification. The meter value does not refer to a diving depth, but to the test pressure which was applied during the watertightness test: pressure peaks can occur during swimming movements or under a water jet (e.g. when showering or washing hands). The watch is subjected to much more stress in the affected areas than the immersion depth would suggest. Only from the classification 50 m / 5 bar / 5 atm can one speak of a waterproof watch (showers possible). From the classification 100 m / 10 bar / 10 atm the watch can also be used for swimming.On new watches the quoted price includes 19% German VAT. If your EU-country has a different tax rate, you get an offer with the tax rate of your country. On used watches the shown price is taxed on the difference after §25a UStG.
