The Story:
TAG Heuer has hit all the right notes with this release, especially with the vintage watch enthusiasts. This was the result of a collaboration between the brand and collectors participating in a competition to determine which is the best Autavia reference to reissue, the reference 2446 was chosen. The Autavia was used quite extensively by racing drivers in the 60s and 70s to time laps, thus making it a true driver’s watch, quite a beautiful one at that.
About this watch:
The watch is measured at 42mm in circumference, giving it a contemporary aesthetic. The bi-directional bezel can be used to track another time-zone should you wish to do that. The watch is in unworn/new condition and comes as full set and still under manufacturers warranty as it’s a 2023 model. It is accompanied by a Heuer branded tang buckle, attached to its original strap in unworn and excellent condition. It features a black panda style dial, reminiscent of the racing chronographs of that era. This style is coming back as more and more brands are releasing similar dials in their new releases.
