sinn navigation watch 903 pl hd 12h chronograph manual winding in 41 mm (measured without crown).
Reference number: 903
Age of the watch: ca. 1997
This is the pl version, i.e. the gold plated version. The gold plating is beautifully preserved and not chipped or rubbed off anywhere. Beautifully preserved tritium dial with set of hands.
The watch runs reliably with a rate accuracy of around 10 to 15 s / d. All functions are flawless, the chronograph zeros cleanly and the reset also works perfectly.
It is fitted with the legendary Lemania 1873, which Omega also used in the Moonwatch as caliber 861. The case back has a sapphire crystal window that provides a view of the beautifully decorated movement.
The watch comes on a new original Sinn black leather strap with matching gold-plated Sinn folding clasp (suitable for this model, not a newer version). Comes in original Sinn box including outer box. Beautiful condition with only slight optical signs of wear and scratches on the watch.
A brief history: The Sinn 903 Navigaton watch is, so to speak, the "daughter" of the Breitling Navitimer. When Breitling got into difficulties as a result of the quartz crisis (early 1970s to mid-1980s), Helmut Sinn bought almost the entire stock of Navitimer spare parts, machines and the design rights from Breitling. However, Breitling never sold the rights to the "Navitimer" name. Consequently, Sinn was not allowed to call the 903 "Navitimer", and the "navigation watch" was born.
