Released at Baselworld 2016, this version of the Yachtmaster is perhaps the most refined-looking of the entire range. With its platinum bezel and Oyster bracelet, it combines the nautical demeanour of the Submariner with the sleek simplicity of a Datejust. A date aperture at 3’o clock is magnified by a cyclops lens and the Chromalight indexes and ‘Mercedes’ hands emulate that of the Submariner. The Caliber 3135 holds a power reserve of 48 hours and it is water-resistant to 100 metres. With its vibrant blue seconds hand echoing the ‘Yachtmaster’ text on the stunning grey rhodium dial, it’s a visually striking watch that embodies Rolex’s renowned mastery of stylish understatement and remains aesthetically true to the very first Yachtmaster, introduced to great acclaim in 1992.
